At 39-years-old Sofia Vergara is in very good shape, but that toned body doesn't come from lazying around.

The Colombian-born actor was spotted leaving her hotel and heading to the gym in New York, just hours before she transformed into her stylish evening wear, yesterday.

The Modern Family star may have been wearing her exercise gear but she still looked amazing as she departed the Trump Soho Hotel.

She wore a pair of tight leggings that showed off her athletic legs, and a long sleeved white T-shirt that she styled out with a large purple scarf.

The mother-of-one was trying to keep a low profile as she wore her hair down and covered her face with sunglasses and a white baseball cap.

After working up a sweat, the brunette headed back to her suite and prepared for her night on the town with boyfriend Nick Loeb.

The hard work and long hours on the treadmill were obvious to see as she emerged from her hotel looking radiant.

The actor wore a pale yellow dress with a pair of towering strappy shoes as she travelled to the West Village for dinner.

She kept her make-up to a minimum and wore dangling gold earrings with bracelets and matched her studded heels with her small handbag.

Earlier this week, the star was spotted out in the city with her on and off partner Nick, who she has split up with 'a million times'.

Unidentified sources told the New York Post that the couple was seen in a 'heated discussion with lots of hand flailing.'

The couple allegedly split after constant fighting and a source close to Loeb also claimed Vergara hated when it when her multi-millionaire partner got more attention than she did.

'They have been fighting a lot recently and have been on the brink of splitting many times. It is not yet clear if they are over for good, but they are done as a couple for now,' the source told the New York Post.
