He is about to be a father for the second time, but David Arquette hasn't let fatherhood get in the way of showing off his youthful exuberance.

The 42-year-old actor was seen playfully lying in the middle of road after leaving his nightclub Bootsy Bellows in the wee hours of Wednesday morning.

The Scream star planted himself just in front of a stop sign on the famed Sunset Boulevard and posed for a few snaps with a big smile on his face.

The Never Been Kissed star has been open about his battle with alcoholism and sought treatment in 2011.

Last year, the actor called into the Howard Stern Show to admit that he was drinking and smoking 'a little weed' again, but added: 'I try to keep a cap on it.'

The star was dressed casually for his night out on Tuesday in all-black ensemble consisting of a suit jacket, T-shirt, slim-fit jeans, and Converse sneakers.

David's hair was a but dishevelled as he peeled himself off the ground and he was showing off salt and pepper facial hair.

His ensemble was worlds apart from the outfit that he wore while running errands in Los Angeles earlier in the day.

The Eight Legged Freaks star showed his pride by wearing an England lion tracksuit top as he shopped in the posh Brentwood neighbourhood.

The Ready To Rumble actor looked more like a rapper than a Hollywood A-lister as he paired the Adidas jacket with white jeans, a colour-coordinated trucker cap and red Vans sneakers.

David is expecting a child with his very pregnant girlfriend, Entertainment Tonight's Christina McLarty.

This will be his second child as the actor, who is said to be worth $18m, already has nine-year-old daughter Coco with ex-wife Courteney Cox.

David has a lot to keep him busy with seven films either completed or in post-production, including the drama Sold, which centres around a girl that risks everything for freedom after being trafficked from her mountain village in Nepal to a brothel in India.

The Jeffery D. Brown film also stars Gillian Anderson, Tillotama Shome, and Seema Biswas and is set for release on April 8.

Haha. Actually, i think he looks pretty cool. Why should everyone in their 40s dress like a boring old thing? And why is someone with a 9 year old not allowed to go out and have fun ever? I didnt realise having kids means you are never supposed to set foot outside after 8pm again!

When my kids were young I didnt hang out at clubs called bootsy bellows and lie on the road at night. I think its time he grew up. An another thing. He should start dressing his age.
