Palace sign McCarthy from Addicks to replace Hudson

Crystal Palace have signed Charlton defender Paddy McCarthy in a £500,000 deal.

McCarthy, 25, has agreed a three-year contract with the Eagles after holding talks with boss Neil Warnock early this week.

The Irish centre-half replaces the departed Mark Hudson, who joined Charlton on a free transfer earlier this month.
