She is, without a doubt, one of the originals WAGS.

But - rather impressively - Alex Gerrard, wife of Liverpool FC's Stephen Gerrard, still boasts one of the best bodies of them all.

The blonde beauty was seen looking perfectly toned and healthy as she holidayed in Dubai over the weekend.

Wearing a daring black two-piece,the mother-of-three looked a picture of health as she swam and sunbathed.

With her long hair kept simple and retained into a ponytail, Alex also kept her make-up to a minimum preferring to let her well gym-trained body speak for itself.

Alex and Steven, who live in Merseyside, have three daughters, Lilly-Ella, nine, Lexie, seven, and Lourdes, two.

The former model also keeps busy these days as a fashion columnist. She previously wrote a weekly column for OK Magazine for four years until the beginning of 2013.

Last year was an exciting year for Alex, who was the new face of Lipsy’s VIP range during the summer.

She describes her morning beauty regime as such: 'I make sure I cleanse and moisturise my face daily to keep my skin healthy and glowing. I also always moisturise my whole body after showering.'

She says that the one piece of make-up she would take to a desert island 'would have to be my eyebrow pencil. I think eyebrows really frame your face and I feel bare without them.'

As to how she manages to look so polished when she leads such a busy life Alex says simply: 'My trick is to keep it simple with my hair and make up. That way it is easier to maintain! I don't have the time anymore to take hours getting ready. You can't go wrong with a sleek ponytail and mascara!'

Well let's face it ....she has absolutely nothing else to do with her time apart from holiday... Gym....beautician.... holiday - think I'd look like that if I had her pampered life.

I too would look like this if I had the money she has to spend on a personal trainer and a nutritionist as well as all the treatments she can afford. Instead I work full time and bring up my daughter alone and I have to make do with a couple of gym sessions a week as that's all I can fit in!

I suppose if you have home help, a personal trainer and a spouse that earns a "telephone number" salary, maintaining a hard body after having jettisoned three children and sporadically contributing copy to magazines with exclamation marks in their titles isn't exactly insurmountable.

Dubai is really the destination of all the Z-listers. I don't understand how you can holiday in a country that has such medieval laws in place. And feel comfortable flaunting your body when you know that the rest of the women have to cover up 24/7.
