‘I always had a complex about the way I walked!': Jamie Dornan tells Graham Norton he had to correct the way he strolled for Fifty Shades Of Grey

Jamie Dornan could give John Cleese a run for his money, as the Irish actor has admitted that he had a funny walk.

Jamie told Graham Norton on his BBC chat show that he had to correct his gait for his role in the upcoming Fifty Shades Of Grey movie, but he has always been insecure about it.

‘I always had a complex about the way I walked and people would comment on it,’ Dornan 31, explained.

‘I walked on my toes and when I did The Fall, the director asked, “Is that part of the character or just the way you walk?”

‘My wife tried to help by making me lean back and then in Fifty Shades my character has to dance the foxtrot and the teacher said, ‘Do it as though you are walking; heel to toe.’

The Fall star is married to Amelia Warner, the actress and singer who performs under the name Slow Moving Millie, who gave birth to their first child last November.

Jamie added: ‘No one had ever told me that was how you walk and now I am applying it every day!’

Dornan has been busy filming for the first installment of the Fifty Shades trilogy, as he won the role of Christian Grey after Charlie Hunnam dropped out.

The actor plays the intimidatingly handsome businessman with a penchant for BDSM to Dakota Johnson’s virginal college student Anastasia Grey.
