Bachelorette no more! Emily Maynard marries Tyler Johnson in 'surprise wedding' wearing pink dress and cowboy boots

She has been engaged four times.

But The Bachelorette star Emily Maynard has proved the fourth time is actually the charm after reportedly marrying fiancé Tyler Johnson in a surprise wedding in Sharon, South Carolina on Saturday.

The 28-year-old was spotted earlier in the day, beaming broadly as she ran errands and attending a 'pre-wedding' bash.

'God brought us together. He's given me such peace about everything. I'm so grateful I met him,' she gushed exclusively to People.com after the wedding.

Emily, who is now using the surname Johnson, is said to have tied the knot with her management consultant beau in front of 200 guests who had been invited to Tyler's family farm for what they thought was an engagement party.

Instead, they were treated to the sight of the reality star walking down a lantern-lit aisle in a pale pink gown designed by Modern Trousseau.

Beneath the gown, the Southern belle wore cowboy boots and her eight-year-old daughter Ricki acted as maid of honour.

'It's just as much her day as it is mine because it's a big change for her,' Emily said. 'She just adores Tyler and he is so good with her. He loves her as if she was his own daughter. It's been so great to see their relationship grow.'

Tyler has planned a honeymoon for the couple and all the bride knows is that it will be somewhere with a beach.

'We could totally be going to Myrtle Beach for all I know!' Emily joked, referring to a local spot in South Carolina.

She also opened up about her TV past, which included two failed engagements to The Bachelor star Brad Womack and Jef Holm, who won her hand on series eight of The Bachelorette.

'For so long I felt so embarrassed and ashamed about that TV stuff ,' she admitted.

She reveals that it was her faith instead that paved the path which led her to her new husband.

'The grace that my faith has given me to wipe that all away and not find worth in that and find it through God, Tyler has been a great example of that for me,' she added. 'He has truly lived out God's grace every day.'

Before her wedding, Emily was spotted dropping her beloved pooch Pixie off at a dog obedience school, and treating herself to a blow dry and a spot of shopping.

Wearing an unusual grey top over her turquoise floral dress, the bride-to-be finished her look with a pair of strappy blue heels and slouchy grey tote.

Later, she was spotted attending a 'pre-wedding party,' where she chatted to friends and family.

Emily celebrated her 'white trash' themed bachelorette party in May after accepting Tyler's proposal in January.

Aside from her two televised betrothals, the beautiful blonde was also previously engaged to the father of her child, late NASCAR driver Ricky Hendrick.

'[This engagement] is my last. I really mean it. I'm actually making it to the marriage part this time,' Emily told People magazine in May.
