PNC Telecom falls into the red

 

MOBILE phones distributor PNC Telecom made a pre-tax loss of £247,000 in the six months to 30 September against a £480,000 profit last time after charging a one-off £822,000 against bad debt.

The group also registered an impairment against goodwill of £10.8m from revaluing the acquisitions of the past two and half years given the current tough market conditions.

Turnover rose 30% to £31.6m and contract sales of mobiles were up 28%.The loss per share grew to 27.67p from

4.02p. There is no dividend.
