A Michigan father who says his 15-year-old daughter's school Halloween costume was unjustly criticized for resembling a 'porn star' by her principal is accusing the woman of bullying.

Billed by Sears as 'Leg Avenue Sexy Adult Halloween New Pink Pirate Costume' the mini skirt and tube top featuring lace and bows pulled the girl into her principal's office in Utica last month, to the upset of the girl's father.

'She said to my daughter, "Honey, you look like a porn star,' Steven Werner told WJBK on his daughter's behalf.

'My daughter said, "What do you mean a porn star?"

‘She goes, "You know, a porn star. You know what those people do?" My daughter said "no." So she elaborated to my daughter what a porn star was and what they do for a living,' Mr Werner said.

The girl was not sent home but allegedly to make matters right ordered to turn around the pink bows that topped her knee highs so they’d instead rest behind her knees.

Infuriated by what her father accused to be an inappropriate and detailed lesson on porn to the girl, he promptly contacted the principal whom he said admitted to everything but offered no apology.

'She did say that all men watch porn and it's a fact of life and I should get real,' Mr Wener said of Utica High School's principal Janet Jones.

Taking his anger to the streets Mr Werner has since decorated his hauling trailer with a provocative billboard to share with the rest of the community.

'Mrs Jones taught my daughter about porn. "All men watch porn"' the trailer reads with a following source for the quote listing ‘Utica High School Principal Janet Jones.’

'I wanted people to be aware about what was going on as far as the parents to see if we could get more advocates for situations like this,' said Mr Werner.

'This is a form of bullying as far as I'm concerned and us as parents need to be more apt as to what bullying is and help the students out,' he said.

Message of his own: With no apology given to the young teen the father has since decorated a trailer of his that accuses the principal of teaching his daughter about porn

Since driving the trailer around town, however, he says his daughter has been further taken as victim by her peers at school.

Reasoning this turn of tables, Mr Werner accuses her classmates of believing 'Mrs Jones is pure and perfect and she can't do nothing wrong.'

'The principal admitting to the fault of what she did wrong was an admittance of guilt,' he said. 'If you're guilty then you need to apologize.'

An official with Utica Community Schools told WJBK that the student, principal and a guidance counsellor have sat down to discuss disciplinary action over disruption during the school day.

well, the father felt it was okay for the daughter to wear a costume labelled sexy. he's mad because the principal told his daughter the truth. If he truly cared about his daughter, he wouldn't let her wear clothes like that especially at such a young age. Shame on him for getting a billboard and trying to depict the principal as a bully. To me, she shows more common sense than the father and child combined! Good for her. Stand your ground!

The costume was entirely inappropriate for someone that age and in a school setting. I can't believe the father let his daughter out dressed that way. dress the way you want to be addressed.

The principal called it like he saw it. The father and daughter should be the ones apologizing. Now everybody knows what he and his daughter are.

With a dad like that, she is destined for that trade anyway so why not just let her get a head start in school.

I wouldn't let my daughter wear that outfit for Halloween. She is almost 13 years old, and that is pretty much what is available out there. I had a difficult time trying to find one that was appropriate.

I went to pick my son up from his Halloween disco a couple of weeks ago - thought I'd got lost and arrived at a giant brothel. Phud everywhere.

I would be looking at the dad's computer if he thinks it is OK for his 15 year old daughter to dress as a 'sexy adult'.

Erm, he's right? The dress is sold on the principal of being sexy or fetish like as a sexy pirate. Either way its not meant for a young teenager or the school

I'd say they're both wrong. First of all, most 15 yr old girls were wearing costumes very similar that were purchased at Walmart. They really don't look that provocative on a 15 yr old and there is only an inch of skin showing at all (and the skirts are long enough to be appropriate for school). If the outfit wasn't inappropriate enough for the child to be sent home, that should have been the end of it. The principal had no right to say what she did. Since when did it become right for a school principal to pick on and make fun of a student??

I think the principal was right. What kind of parent lets a daughter leave the house and go to SCHOOL wearing an outfit like that? THEY should have sat their daughter down and explained why that "costume" is inappropriate, and then taken it from her immediately.
