Sophie's hug for little Sophie: The Countess of Wessex gives cute three-year-old a cuddle during visit to Army medics
|
For any young girl, meeting a member of Royalty is an exciting and daunting occasion.
But as this picture shows, things couldn't have gone better for three-year-old Sophie Lewis.
After presenting the Countess of Wessex with a bunch of flowers yesterday, the smartly dressed toddler received a hug.

Honoured: Sophie presented Afghanistan operational service medals to Army nurses who had just returned from operations in Helmand
And with the tot wearing almost identical colours to Sophie, the pair looked picture perfect as they posed for pictures.
Sophie wore a bright purple dress with matching hat as she visited Army medics in Aldershot.
In her role as Colonel in Chief, the Countess presented Afghanistan operational service medals to Army nurses from 22 Field Hospital, who have just returned from operations in Helmand.
Sophie wore a black jacket over her purple dress and had her hair pulled back in a sleek bun.
She smiled broadly as she posed for pictures with the Army medics but saved her biggest smile for a little girl, also called Sophie, who presented her with a bouquet of flowers as she left.
The three-year-old showed she is a mini fashionista in the making by also wearing the same shade as the Countess.
The colour is in vogue after the Queen wore the shade when she visited the rebuilt Jubilee Gardens in London last week.

Queen of style: Her majesty was the first royal to step out in the shade last week as she visited the rebuilt Jubilee Gardens in London - and even had a colour co-ordinated umbrella
Her
majesty chose a bright purple coat with matching accessories including
an on-trend fedora-style felt hat and a purple-trimmed umbrella for the
occasion which was part of her Diamond Jubiliee celebrations.
And it's not just the royals who are donning the shade. Pippa Middleton, sister of the Duchess of Cambridge, also chose the colour at her recent book launch.
The author wore a plum Roksanda Ilincic wool-crepe dress, which costs £815, to mark the release of her party guide, Celebrate. The dress was one of four she wore that day.
Sophie's purple outfit was a style set up from her last public appearance when she wore camouflage-patterned body armour and a hard hat. She wore the military gear as she watched members of the three Armed Services participate in her military skills competition in Paderborn, Germany, earlier this month.

While Pippa's dress is lovely and I wouldn't mind a mention of it along with price and where to buy, she does not belong in an article about the Countess of Wessex and Her Majesty. At most she can be placed along side of her sister but never along side of her sister's grandmother-in-law!
