Mustafi is first victim of Everton's January sale as defender join Sampdoria

Everton have sold German defender Shkodran Mustafi, 19, to Sampdoria as David Moyes attempts to raise cash for new signings.

Mustafi played once as a substitute in a Europa League game in 2009.
