
Perimenopause, is the natural transition period women go through before the menopause. It is a natural step in a woman's body towards permanent infertility. The average age of menopause in the UK is around 52 but perimenopause can start at different ages. Some women notice changes in their early 40s, and occasionally in their mid 30s.
