'That's public humiliation': Taylor Swift on her lovelife being mocked at awards shows... as she poses in stunning shoot

She's said to be in the early stages of dating DJ Calvin Harris after a long period of being single.

And in a new interview with Glamour UK magazine, Taylor Swift admitted she felt 'shamed into' staying away from romance after her love history became a frequent subject of mocking.

Speaking as the Guest Editor of the June issue of the glossy, Taylor said she became comfortable with her single status after comedians began to use her past relationships as material at awards shows.

She explained: 'There is no easy way for me to engage with romance. I’m really busy, so I can’t. And it’s a good thing that I feel really independent and I feel that my friends are all I need.

'It’s kind of a sad way I got there though, being shamed into it.

'What else is it when you have two boyfriends in one year and everyone’s calling you boy crazy, making jokes about you at awards shows? That’s public humiliation. And I don’t think its fair.'

Taylor has been linked to Scottish DJ Calvin in recent weeks - her first boyfriend since ending her brief relationship with One Direction's Harry Styles back in January 2013.

The 25-year-old has had high-profile romances with Joe Jonas, Jake Gyllenhaal and John Mayer, which are said to have inspired some of her hit songs.

As she poses in a stunning shoot to accompany the interview, Taylor admits she's always tried to stay away from the overtly sexual images cultivated by some of her chart contemporaries, such as Rihanna and Beyonce.

She explained: 'You know, everybody has different priorities as an artist…Every woman has different things that make them feel strong and powerful.

'For me, I don’t have any need or urge to write about overt sexuality. It just never occurs to me. I appreciate girls who sing about whatever they want, because that’s what they want to sing about.'

Taylor admits she feels comfortable in her own skin and doesn't 'place much priority on looking cool'.

Summer's hot like Taylor Swift in her Valentino dress

Taylor's always in style and she shows off her model-esque body on the cover of Glamour UK in a barely there Valentino cut out dress from the spring 2015 runway.

This blonde girl next door is often found in high street but when it comes to the red carpet or magazine photo shoots she goes full glam. Nonetheless she retains her natural approach-ability in this season must have trend of lace and flashes of flesh.

Whether its styled like on the runway with lace up gladiators for that St. Tropez feel or more Vegas appropriate with silver sky high heels, this kind of dress mixes together the best parts of being a good girl and a vixen.

While not all of us can afford Maison Valentino, we can all dip our toe into that kind of style. Check out our suggestions below and with the ChicNova one going for only $36.63, this is a trend that you've got to have in your summer wardrobe.

She credits her mother Andrea with keeping her down-to-earth, despite her millionaire pop star lifestyle.

She said: 'My mum is really good at putting things back into perspective for me. And it’s really nice when she says, "I know there’s no way I could possibly understand what you’re going through, but here’s what I think..."

'And sometimes it does feel unfair, but then I walk into my apartment that I can’t believe I could afford to buy and it doesn’t feel so unfair any more.'
