No personal questions please! Robert Downey Jr seen for the first time since walking out on THAT interview ...as he arrives for Letterman chat in NYC

That awkward interview with Channel 4 News clearly hasn't bothered him.

On Thursday, a very good spirited Robert Downey Jr was seen arriving at the Ed Sullivan Theatre in New York City for an appearance on The Late Show With David Letterman.

The 50-year-old actor continued his Avengers: Age Of Ultron promotional press tour with a beaming grin and cheery attitude one day after he stormed out of an interview after British journalist Krishnan Guru-Murthy asked him too personal a question.

Robert was sharply dressed for his appearance wearing a navy striped suit and matching tie with black trousers.

He kept warm in a color coordinated overcoat and completed his look with his favorite go-to designer sneakers.

The father-of-two was visibly in better spirits following his abrupt walk out from a brief interview he did with UK's Channel 4 News that quickly became viral.

On Wednesday, RDJ stormed out of a TV interview when asked about his history of drug abuse and time in prison.

The actor was furious when the line of questioning suddenly got personal in a recorded chat with Channel 4 in London to promote his latest film Avengers: Age of Ultron.

He had been on good form when the exchange started - in which, as arranged, he would discuss his experiences on the new blockbuster which premiered in Britain on Tuesday.

But he could be seen getting visibly uncomfortable when interviewer Krishnan Guru-Murthy began asking about his long-conquered personal demons.

'The dark periods you went to... taking drugs and drinking and all of that,' asked Krishnan in hesitation. 'I just wondered whether you're free of all that?

'I really don't - what are we doing?,' Robert interrupted when he became visibly uncomfortable with the interview.

'It's just getting a bit Diane Sawyer,' he added as he got up and walked away as Krishnan panicked and tried to get the Hollywood star to stay and continue with the chat.

Meanwhile on Thursday, RDJ was feeling much more sociable as he looked to be having a great time on The Late Show talking to Letterman, who he has always considered to be 'the best host ever.'

Robert dished about his star-studded 50th birthday which he spent with celebrity pals on his actual birthday April 4 at the Santa Monica airport in California.

'We rented out an airplane hangar,' he told Dave.

'I had two bands. I had Duran Duran play and they opened for Steely Dan. I was stoked,' he added.

Guests included Gwyneth Paltrow and her new boyfriend Brad Falchuk, Avengers co-star Jeremy Renner, Orlando Bloom, Jennifer Aniston and fiance Justin Theroux among others.
