Where's Jake? Rachel McAdams keeps a low profile while out for dinner with pals ...as Gyllenhaal rumours heat up

She is rumoured to be dating Jake Gyllenhaal after the pair were spotted on a romantic date in Los Angeles earlier this month.

But Jake was nowhere to be seen on Wednesday evening, as Rachel McAdams reserved a low-key dinner with her pals at Craig's in Los Angeles. 

The 34-year-old has been rumoured to be romantically involved with her Southpaw co-star after growing close over the production of the film this past summer.

Rachel's cropped locks skimmed just above her shoulders and were worn down in a loose and fluffy hairdo.

Bright pink lips and blush highlighted her fantastic face, while her modest top showcased a hint of her toned tummy.

While her patterned green shirt added a ladylike touch to her ensemble, her edgy leather jacket offset the feminine top.

Rachel's dinner follows a meal she shared with Jake earlier in April at Odys + Penelope in Los Angeles.

They were also spotted dining together while shooting the movie in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, but a source told E! at the time that their relationship was platonic. 

In June, the two were believed to have dined together in New York heading to a boxing match between Miguel Cotto and Sergio Martinez together.

A source reported to the New York Post's Page Six of the sighting that the situation between the two looked particularly cozy.

'They arrived together and sat next to each other,' the source said. 'They were in deep conversation.[They stayed for an hour] and looked happy and very friendly.' 

However, on Thursday, OK! Magazine cited a source that referred to their relationship as 'a work in progress.' 

Jake has been single since splitting from model Alyssa Miller in December.

Rachel was most recently romantically linked with Canadian music manager Patrick Sambrook, who she began dating a shortly after her relationship Michael Sheen came to an end.

Jake and Rachel will share the spotlight in the upcoming boxing film Southpaw, which will hit U.S. theatres on July 24.
