Hat's love: Anne Hathaway wears baker boy style cap as she and husband Adam Shulman walk hand in hand in NYC

They are, adorably, almost permanently joined at the hip.

The actress favours dressing down for their excursions in the city, and has been seen sporting a number of different baker boy style caps covering her hair.

She made sure to keep warm as they held hands, with a thick scarf protecting her neck and a toasty navy coat.  

Anne stuck with her favourite slim-fit jeans and concealed her eyes with jet black shades.

The Interstellar star added a pop of colour with her sneakers, which had bright yellow laces, and carried a red and blue cross-body bag.

Her doting husband wore a grey puffer jacket, and seemed to take over duties of carrying Anne's brown leather tote bag. 

The scruffy-faced producer and actor was head to toe in blue, finished off with some Navy New Balance trainers which have probably seen better days.  

The pair have been married since 2012, and Adam is frequently seen walking his love to her gig at The Public Theater in New York City.

She has been performing in the play, Grounded, which is currently in previews and will officially open on Sunday.

The play is about an ace fighter pilot reassigned to a remote-controlled drone who faces twelve-hour shifts hunting targets from her Air Force trailer followed by twelve in the suburbs with her family. 

The Les Mis star will next be seen on the big screen in The Intern, co-starring Robert De Niro, in theaters on September 25.
