Since Jennifer Ellison welcomed the birth of her third son, Charlie, in September, the actress has been keeping a relatively low profile as she tends to her growing brood.

But on Thursday night, the 31-year-old blonde beauty stepped out for a good cause as she joined pal and fellow actress Jorgie Porter to attend the launch of a food allergy-focused store in Chester.

The stars, who became 'sequin sisters' when they both competed on Dancing On Ice in 2012, looked equally glamorous as they arrived at the bash, hosted by Holland and Barrett's More store.

With her blonde tresses set in a neat bun, Jennifer, married to boxer Robbie Tickle, turned heads as she arrived in a black tunic top, which she teamed with matching jeans and heels.

Her pal opted for a white button-up blouse with a matching purse and heels, while she lit up the room in a shimmering gold skirt.

And the friends had plenty to bond over at the event during Allergy Awareness Week, as Jennifer has two sons who are milk intolerant and Jorgie, 27, has a serious shellfish allergy.

They were joined outspoken TV presenter and Radio 1 favourite Jameela Jamil, 29, who strode the red carpet in a stunning ruby ASOS dress for the VIP launch of what has been billed as the UK’s first ever food allergy friendly superstore.

Jameela, 29, was born with a severe food allergy to nuts and shellfish which was life threatening. Then, aged 12, she was diagnosed with coeliac disease – a condition where people have an intolerance to gluten.

She said in a statement: 'I’m thrilled to be working with Holland & Barrett More because it’s so great to see a retailer making genuine progress for people who suffer from allergy or intolerance.

'Food is such a huge and important part of life and when you have an allergy it can be genuinely depressing to spend your life restricted by your diet.'

Last summer, former Brookside star Jennifer revealed her pregnancy, admitting that it came as a bit of a shock after doctors claimed she wouldn’t be able to conceive.

Despite the shock, Jennifer and Robbie were thrilled to be expanding their brood, which includes Bobby, five, and Harry, who turns two in July.

Speaking to OK! magazine, she explained: ‘I have really bad ovarian cysts and the doctors said I wouldn’t be able to conceive again – then this happens!’

While the theatre star was excited for her new arrival she did admit she will take a longer break before having any more children.

She joked: 'I’ll wait four or five years before I have any more – I’ll get back in shape, get my varicose veins done and sort myself out!’

Change of diet: Jameela has eliminated foods containing gluten - such as bread, cakes and pastry - as well as other foods from her diet that cause a bad reaction, including dairy, pepper and celeries
