Now that's an explosive scene! George Clooney rages on Money Monster set while wearing a suicide vest

He's normally charming and debonair.

But George Clooney looked raging mad as he rehearsed a scene for Money Monster on Wall Street in the New York district of Manhattan on Friday.

And it's little wonder. The 53-year-old plays Lee Gates, a financial TV personality who has been taken hostage and strapped into a suicide vest by disgruntled viewer Kyle Budwell after he loses all his money on one of Lee's tips.

Unless the financial guru can figure out a way to drive the stock market up before the closing bell, Kyle, played by Jack O'Connell, will detonate the bomb.

George rehearsed his rage face, clenching his fists and snarling, as the 24-year-old Brit and a member of the crew looked on before snapping back to his usual smiley self.

Aside from a grey vest packed with C4 plastic explosives, the star wore a blue-and-white striped shirt with the sleeves rolled up and top button undone, untucked from his dark grey slacks.

George had a warm blue jacket draped over his shoulders, which he took off when filming began.

Jack, 24, was kitted out in a khaki, zipped hoodie over a grey sweatshirt and green combat trousers. He brandished a gun as George cowered behind him.
