Ready to Rumble! The Block teams Jess & Ayden and Kara & Kyal among contestants on new renovation reality show that pits Blockheads against House Rules stars

It seems Australians just can't get enough of renovating.

As The Block prepares to wrap up next week, Channel Nine already has a new home improvement show waiting in the wings - Reno Rumble.

Set to air soon, Reno Rumble sees former contestants from The Block and House Rules pitted against each other as they makeover over two separate homes in the same street.

The two teams are made up up of four duos, and avid reality TV watchers will be familiar with most of the faces.

Jess and Ayden from the current season of The Block will barely leave our screens, popping back up on Reno Rumble within weeks of The Block finale.

They'll be going up against The Block: Fans vs  Faves's Kara and Kyal, who have proven themselves as talented renovators after successfully auctioning off their Central Coast home in January for a record price.

The couple, nicknamed the Super Ks transformed the Killarney Vale home using some of the $520,000 they made on The Block and earned $735,000 for the property - for comparison, the median sale price of  the suburb is just $375,000.

Also competing are Blockheads Josh and Jenna, the youngest couple ever on the show who this year also plan to begin renovating their 'forever home'.

Gold Coast couple Michael and Carlene from The Block: Glasshouse will no doubt be eager to win big after the audience favourites famously walked away with nothing in last year's season.

Up for the challenge: Former House Rules contestants Jemma and Ben Van Ryt, who are new parents after welcoming a baby boy into the world in January

But it's not all Blockheads, with House Rules winners Carly and Leighton thrown into the mix.

The Adelaide couple found themselves set up for life when they got their mortgage paid off after winning the first season of the Channel Seven reality show.

They'll be joined by fellow former House Rules contestants Jemma and Ben Van Ryt, who are new parents after welcoming a baby boy into the world in January.

Viewers will also remember Michelle and Steve, grand finalists and runners up on series one.

Rounding out the teams are Nick and Chris, from Preston in Victoria.
