But Rita Ora seemed to surpass herself when she arrived in Los Angeles on Friday morning - wearing a multi-coloured blanket.

The chart star was hard to miss in the random style choice, which is just the latest in a long line of fashion fails.

The 24 year-old suffered a sartorial slip-up when she was seen arriving at LAX airport in clumpy boots, skin-tight trousers and the fringed blanket.

Wearing her hair up in a messy up do, she also went make-up free - which left her looking drained against her outfit's colour scheme.

Still, she didn't seem to bothered as she flashed a grin to onlookers and waved at fans.

The singer/songwriter had flown in from the UK, where she had most recently appeared on Alan Carr's Chatty Man show.

Rita, who performed her latest single New York Raining with Charles Hamilton, pulled off a much more demure look - at least on first glance.

Initially the British star looked elegant and angelic-like in an ethereal white gown until she revealed a saucy pair of racy suspenders on Friday’s pre-recorded episode.

The beautiful Vionnet number featured a sleeveless bodice and a small train, while it was clinched at the waistline by a bold leather belt.

But it's not all about the clothes.

Rita, who recently received an Oscar nomination for Best Original Song, is due to be honoured with an exciting Silver Clef recognition.

On Twitter, the starlet gushed: 'Thrilled & honoured to be named Best Female at this year's #O2SilverClefs40 in aid of @NordoffRobbins1 #musicmatters'

R.I.P hitmaker Rita will receive the award on 3 July at a ceremony held at the Grosvenor House Hotel, Park Lane.

Speaking about the news with music charity Nordoff Robbins, Rita said: 'I feel honoured to be receiving the Best Female Award at the O2 Silver Clef Lunch.

'It's great to be recognised by Nordoff Robbins, a charity which uses music to transform the lives of so many people.'

Meanwhile, international DJ, producer and artist Mark Ronson will be awarded the American Express Innovation Award.
