Single Kate Peck says she isn't interested in dating a male model as she wraps up final preparations ahead of Myer Autumn/Winter runway show

She's currently single, but Myer model Kate Peck says she won't be looking for love on the catwalk.

As one of the faces of the department store giant, the 27-year-old stunner will be leading a bevvy of beauties down the runway at their Autumn/Winter collection launch on Thursday but says she'd rather look outside the fashion world for that someone special.

'I probably wouldn't go for a male model, I think I want someone out of the industry,' she tells Daily Mail Australia.

'I would like someone that might take me away from my everyday life. I'm too busy to settle for anyone who's not pretty special!'

The elfin beauty isn't in a hurry to find Mr Right either and says she 'not too fussed' at all about her single status.

'I'm quite enjoying life, I'm busier than I've ever been and everything's going smashingly so I can't complain.'

Kate is wrapping up her last minute preparations ahead of Thursday's runway show and is looking forward to getting backstage where the atmosphere is always electric.

'[I'm] beyond excited, it's always heaps of fun. You're in these beautiful clothes, incredible Australian designs, fabulous shoes!' she says.

The blonde loves to have a laugh backstage and while she can get rowdy psyching up the models, she says former rugby star Kris Smith is far louder than either herself of fellow ambassador Jennifer Hawkins behind the scenes.

'Kris gives [Jennifer and I] both a good run for our money,' she confesses.

'Yeah Jen knows how to have a laugh, they've both got really great senses of humour. We all just have a chat to the other models... and hope there's no wardrobe malfunctions and just keep it together!

'It's about making sure that you're energised and in the right frame of mind.'

A cheeky sip of bubbly may also be in order to keep spirits high with Kate saying: 'we might sneak in a celebratory champagne before - [but] usually we leave that til after.'

It wouldn't be a late night, however as the models will need to be up bright and early the following morning for three back-to-back shows dedicated to Myer VIP members.

Kate has been training like an athlete in the lead up to the showcases and has been hitting the gym at least five days a week.

Regular interval training sessions have been keeping her fitness levels up while Pilates classes are designed to lengthen and strengthen.

'My number one priority is to be really fit and healthy for a show like this,' she says.

Her diet has been just as disciplined as her exercise regimen and good grains, organic meat and protein shakes have been making up her 'lean and green' meals.

Family time: In December she visited South America with her parents for a motorbike riding adventure

'I'm trying to make sure that everything that goes into my body is delicious and health and just keeps me on the go,' she says.

'I just try to cut down on coffee and alcohol and eat more of the good things that give you energy.'

Sure to keep her schedule as jam packed as possible, Kate is also working on a project of her own and is developing a range of sunglasses in collaboration with Local Supply.

The collection is still in the early stages of production but will be affordable.
