They've kept a low profile since welcoming their first child at the end of October.

But Rachel Bilson and Hayden Christensen were spotted taking their two-and-a-half month old daughter Briar Rose to run errands in Pasadena, California on Tuesday.

The couple, who got engaged in 2008 and briefly called things off in 2010 before getting back together, were reportedly taking their tiny tot to get her first passport.

Unlike most celebrities, the couple have yet to share pictures of their daughter on social media and are keeping quiet about their private life.

Despite staying out of the public eye, the pair have just topped a poll for the top celebrity baby name of 2014 on parenting website BabyCenter.

The unusual moniker narrowly beat more traditional choices including Chelsea Clinton's daughter Charlotte and Emily Blunt's child Hazel.

Rachel previously expressed her longing to become a mother, telling Health magazine, 'I've always wanted to be a mom.

'I have always wanted kids. I can just see this little toddler waddling around the house.'

The Hart Of Dixie star also described her boyfriend of seven years Hayden as her rock, saying they had grown up together.

'This is my partner, my support, just there for me no matter what. And vice versa,' she added.
