Although the markings are a natural and common occurrence, it's rare to see a celebrity display their flaws so proudly - and so Meredith asked the candid model about the viral photo in Friday's interview.

'I actually am working on a cookbook and I was bumping around in the kitchen and the door handle would just nick me every single time,' Chrissy began.

'And I was actually just taking a picture of the bruises and then I saw the stretch marks in there,' she said, of the now famous photo.

Out of control: The model noted that the standard was 'ridiculous,' saying people are no longer just smoothing their skin but also 'changing the shape of their body'

The Sports Illustrated model continued: 'And I have those apps, the Facetune and Photoshopping ones, and I just didn't feel like doing it anymore - and I’m never doing it again, because I think we forget what normal people look like now.'

Chrissy continued to explain her motivation - to the tune of the audience's applause: 'The standard is so ridiculous. I mean, people are nip-tucking [their pictures].'

'It’s gotten to a point where they’re not smoothing their skin anymore. They are actually changing the shape of their body and everybody else - nobody can compare to that when you’re fixing yourself so much. It's so unfair,' she added.

Her advice: Chrissy begged the audience not to compare themselves to celebrities' photos, noting: 'I’ve seen these women in person, they are not like that'

The Lip Sync Battle star then put out a plea to the audience, begging them to understand that not all celebrities look like their - often tweaked - photos.

'It started with Botox and everything, of course, but now it’s just grown into this Photoshop phenomenon and I've seen these women in person, they are not like that,' she shared.

Chrissy added: 'Please know that. I've shot in barely anything with them and it’s just amazing what people do to tweak themselves.'

Chrissy currently stars on Lip Sync Battle on Spike - which was just picked up for a second season - and airs Thursdays at 10pm.
