Rihanna took to the waves off Honolulu on Friday where she met both the luckiest and unluckiest fish in the world, planting him with a kiss before he was apparently turned to dinner.

The 27-year-old wore sported wild red locks, a jersey top that posed as a dress and dark make-up as she boarded the deep sea fishing vessel and set sail on the crystal clear waters of Hawaii.

You're the one: Rihanna shared a snap of her kissing a fish on a fishing trip off Honolulu on Friday along with the caption, 'Meet my catch of the day... mr. mahi'

The singer wore pristine white and red flat soled Puma trainers, with red blue and white sports socks pulled right up over her calves.

Keeping the seductive sportswear theme going, she wore a black and white Puma basketball jersey dress with a pair of Daisy Dukes underneath.

The Barbadian beauty accessorized with a metallic chain choker around her neck and a pair of over-sized cat-eye shades.

Although she brought a camouflage boonie hat onboard, it had little to no chance of containing her wild red curls, and was thusly relegated to hanging on her back.

But the most striking feature of Riri's ensemble was the heavy black gloss lipstick she slathered on her luscious lips.

The star was clearly enjoying her day out on the waves, posting several pics to Instagram from the back of the boat, and captioning most simply 'fishing'.

No doubt she got a giggle out of the name of the vessel: E Sea Ride Her.

At one stage she swapped her outfit for something a little more tan-soaking, including a gold bikini top with a pair of Daisy Dukes.

Although she was never pictured holding a fishing rod, she did keep her hands busy with various beverages and smokes.

And whether or not she helped bring him aboard, the Diamonds hitmaker got her hands all over an impressive catch, and even gave him a kiss goodbye before he was turned into sushi.

The last Instagram shot the popstar posted was of her cackling gleefully and brandishing a pair of chopsticks as the on-board chef filleted the unfortunate fish.

Rihanna was in Hawaii to serve as bridesmaid to her assistant who was married there on Monday.
