The coiffured pair linked arms as the made their way down the red carpet at the Sex And The City premiere in London's Leicester Square, but moved swiftly passed reporters to avoid being quizzed over the allegations.

Their public appearance came just a day after the News Of The World printed claims by £110-an-hour prostitute Natalie Springer - also known as Jet Black - that she was regularly called to Clarke's £2.5 million over a three month period earlier this year.

Clarke, 49, began dating the twice-divorced 48-year old last summer after having met her at an Elton John party.

Miss Hoppen was once married to Sienna Miller's father Ed and has also dated the footballer Sol Campbell.

In a recent interview with Hello! magazine, she declared she was "definitely in love" with the stylist.

But Clarke's private life is complicated at best.

He raised eyebrows earlier this year while receiving an OBE at Buckingham Palace by bucking convention and opting to take his former wife and current business partner Lesley instead of his current partner.

The exes, who are parents to Harrison, 21, and Tellisa, 18, remain close - they live just four doors apart and occasionally take holidays together.

Nicky charges £450 per haircut and his clients have included Diana, Princess of Wales, singers George Michael and David Bowie and actress Liz Hurley.
