Aston Villa's Ashley Young takes his mind off his cancelled wedding with a Las Vegas pool party

Just days after cancelling his wedding, Ashley Young showed no signs of regret as he frolicked with a bevy of ladies at a Las Vegas pool party.

The Aston Villa and England footballer packed his bags and headed to Sin City for a holiday and appeared to not have a care in the world yesterday.

The 25-year-old’s Dolce & Gabbana underwear were on full display underneath his low-riding blue shorts as he chatted to some girls, who were apparently from Quebec, Canada.

Topless Ashley strolled around the pool barefoot, while wearing his sunglasses and blue basketball cap at a Vegas hotel.

As he sipped on cocktails and laughed with a group of girls, his childhood sweetheart Nicky Pike, who he is still thought to be dating, didn't appear to have joined him.

The winger cancelled his £200,000 wedding to his 26-year-old fiancée just 48 hours before the big day.

An insider told the Daily Star: ‘Ashley has kept quiet about why he called his wedding off – but he looked far from heartbroken as he chatted up the girls.’

Ashley has refused to disclose why his marriage was called off to Nicky, whom he was meant to marry at five-star The Grove hotel and spar near Watford, Hertfordshire.

They were together for around ten years and started dating while at school.

When The Sun asked him on the doorstep of his £1.5million home, with Nicky by his side, what the reason was for the cancellation, he said: ‘No comment’.

While Nicky said: ‘Yes, we have cancelled our wedding’, but said smiling: ‘Do I look upset?’

Later she said: ‘It’s not anyone else’s business. It’s not your life, it’s mine.’
The couple have a five-year-old son and a three-year-old girl.

Meanwhile, Birmingham City’s Liam Ridgewell, 26, also cancelled his £170,000 wedding to Kirsty Maclaren, 23, last week.

Ridgewell sent a text to guests just eight days before the ceremony, who he was meant to wed in front of 200 people next Saturday.

But despite Ridgewell and Young’s bad news, Chelsea footballer Didier Drobga did go ahead with his wedding this week in Monaco.

The 33-year-old tied the knot with his long-term partner Lalla Diakite on the weekend in a private ceremony at the Marie de Monaco.

The ceremony was officiated by club owner Roman Abramovich, with team-mates Salomon Kalou and Florent Malouda among the groom’s men.

Drogba also flew in singer J Martins from Nigeria. The footballer is said to be a fan of the singer after hearing his collaboration with Congolese music star Fally Ipupa on the song Jupa Remix.

Meanwhile, as Ashley Young’s personal life has taken a sudden turn, he is also tipped to be moving to Manchester United.
