'It's a dream come true!' Katherine Jenkins can't hide her shock as she's voted through to the Dancing With The Stars final... despite her onstage meltdown

She was left shaken and in tears last night following a stumble during a routine which saw her injure her back.

But Dancing With The Stars viewers looked past Katherine Jenkins' onstage meltdown and judged the Welsh singer by her previous performances as they voted her through to next week's final of the show.

After finding out she and partner Mark Ballas had achieved their dream of getting to the final, Katherine wrote on her Twitter page: 'Can't tell you how thrilled I am to be in the final... Thank you to all who voted and made this dream come true! #DWTS.'

And Katherine later reassured viewers that her back injury wouldn't be affecting her performance on next week's final.

She tweeted: 'Lets not get carried away with how serious my 'back problem' is... Was a spasm,I didn't go to hospital & it's not going to affect nxt week!'

She also told E! News: 'I'm OK. I'm trying not to think about it anymore because we have a lot of work to do next week, so we will get through it! I'm dealing with it. Patches and things, but it's going to be fine.'

Katherine will be competing against Donald Driver and his dance partner Peta Murgatroyd and William Levy and his pro partner Cheryl Burke in the final.

The decision to keep Katherine and Mark in the show came after Maria Menounos and Derek Hough were eliminated from the show - a choice that Katherine said she was sad to see.

She tweeted: 'How blessed I've been to share these weeks with @mariamenounos - will be so missed in training but the Girl-Mance will continue! Love ya!'

However, following their elimination, Derek admitted he would rather be out of the show now than to compete in the final and not win.

He said: 'I always say this: There's two places to come, first or fourth, because second and third really suck. Coming this close and not getting it? That bites.

'Everybody comes back in the finals anyway, so semifinals is a really place to come besides winning.'

And Maria added: 'I feel like I accomplished everything I set out to accomplish," she tells us. "I danced every single dance there was.'

Katherine's victory on the semi-final came after her emotional breakdown on the show the night before.

After a particularly difficult move which saw Katherine bend over and Mark put his leg over the Welsh singer, she suffered a spasm on her back, causing her to stumble.

However, instead of putting the error behind her and moving on with the routine to Akon's Bonanza,, Katherine, 31, stopped stock still.

She immediately covered her eyes with her hands, gasping and shaking while Ballas soothingly repeated 'I've got you'.

Host Tom Bergeron also seemed concerned, telling her there was no cause to apologise.

But despite the stumble, Dancing With The Stars judges Carrie Ann Inaba, Len Goodman and Bruno Tonioli didn't score the pair too badly - giving them a very generous 27 out of 30.

Katherine eemed shell-shocked, muttering over and over again: 'I'm so sorry Mark.' She explained to her partner backstage: 'I just felt my back go as I bent. I'm so sorry if I've let you down.'
