GROUP A - FULL TIME

CZECH REPUBLIC AND GREECE QUALIFY FOR THE KNOCK OUT STAGES FROM GROUP A.

Two shocks but totally deserved on tonight's display from both sides.

Poland will be disappointed not go though in their home tournament and they still have not won a game in the European Championships.

Russia looked favorites to go through as top of the group, they needed just a point to progress, but they failed and then saw the results in the other game go against them.

Well done to both Greece and Czech Republic.

FULL TIME: CZECH REPUBLIC 1 POLAND 0

Czech Republic are though to the knock out stages

90+3mins: Less than a minute to go in the Czech game and they hang on in the final second as a ball is cleared off the line.

89mins: Russia are pressing for a goal to keep their tournament alive, but Greece are standing firm. Russia have not been nearly as good in this second half.

88mins: Lewandowski goes close for Poland and forces a corner, but their game looks up, they need two goals to go through.

86mins: At half time of the opening games in this group you would have got good odds on Greece and Czech Republic qualifying,. they were both behind.

84mins: The Polish fans know their game is nearly up. They will host this tournament for another two weeks and, as it stands, will play no further part in it.

79mins: Goalscoring hero Jiracek goes down after taking a vicious volley full in the face, injured or not, he is going to take the chance to eat up a few precious moments.

76mins: As it stands Greece and Czech Republic are going through.

72mins: Chance for Greece! Giorgos Tzavellas hits a dangerous free kick that hits the bar.

71mins: GOAL! Czech Republic 1 Poland 0

Milan Baros burst away from the Polish defence and plays in Petr Jiracek who cut in, beat Sebastian Boenisch and slotted the ball beyond Przemyslaw Tyton.

70mins: Just to clarify, the way the groups are decided by points, head-to-head and then goal difference.

66mins: Greece should have had a penalty. Karagounis falls under a challenge from Sergeo Ignashevich, but instead of pointing to the spot referee Fernando Santos books the Greek player for diving. Karagounis is bemused by the decision and is very angry.

65mins: Over in Warsaw, Greece have a glorious chance to double their lead as Vassilis Torossidis skips in down the right byline and gets the ball across for Fanis Gekas in the six-yard box. However, Aleksandr Anyukov gets in to hack the ball up and behind for a corner.

63mins: Brilliant save by Tyton after a downward header, and the Czech are really on the ascendency in this game.

60mins: Wasilewski is booked for Poland after giving away a needless free kick on the edge of the box. But the Czech's fail to make it count, Poland are struggling to clear the ball and another free kick is awarded on the other side and Gebre Selassie heads over the bar after failing to connect properly.

53mins: I should mention that Roman Pavlyuchenko has come on for Russia at half time replacing Alexander Kerzhakov, and his first effort is to shoot over the bar.

52mins: Russia are pushing for a equiliser and Shirokov fires over the bar after some good build up play.

Going in: Karagounis scores for Greece

49mins: Good run forward by Limbersky and forces a corner for the Czech Republic, but it comes to nothing, but they are going for it.

47mins: Will Greece park the bus now they have the lead?

46mins: Greece v Russia is also underway in the second half, about a minute and a half behind the other game.

46mins: We are underway in the Poland v Czech Republic game and both teams are heading out of the tournament if it stays like this so both teams will have to come out and attack, we could be in for an entertaining half.

As it stands Russia and Greece will qualify

45mins: GOAL! Giorgos Karagounis puts Greece ahead on the stroke of half time.

He breaks clear and just puts his foot through the ball to beat Malafeev in the Russia goal.

42mins: Not long until half time in both games and they are goalless.

40mins: In the last few minutes the Czechs have really started to attack more and Pilar has two chances to shoot and his second is comfortably collected by Tyton in the Poland goal.

35mins: Russia think they have cause to appeal for a penalty as Roman Shirokov falls down in the box, but the referee is unmoved.

30mins: The Czechs are trying to get forward but they are not committing many players forward so struggling to really make any chances.

Making the save: Russia's Yuriy Zhirkov has a shoot

Making the save: Russia's Yuriy Zhirkov has a shoot

26mins: There is a thunder storm in Wroclaw and the rain is really coming down in the Czech v Poland game. It does not look as bad as the weather in Donetsk last night.

24mins: Milan Baros was top scorer at the tournament in 2004, but has struggled to register a shot on goal this time around, he was just caught marginally off side as he tried to break clear.

23mins: Russia are stroking the ball around in the middle of the park, they are quite comfortable knowing they are favorites to go through, even if they lose they can still qualify if results go their way.

21mins: Great effort from Sebastian Boenisch for Poland from a long way out. The defender had Cech scrambling across his goal as the ball goes just wide.

19mins: Aleksandr Kerzakhov hits a half volley for Russia and agonisingly sees his shot from the edge of the box curl wide of the post.

17mins: In the other game, Arshavin plays in a dangerous corner and Samaras is able to head clear for the Greeks.

Getting stuck in: Czech Republic's Tomas Sivo Poland's Dariusz Dudka fight for the ball

12mins: Poland go close again, this time it is Polanski who shoots wind. Sooner or later the Czechs will have a chance and Poland could be made to pay for all these missed opportunities.

10mins: Another chance for Poland, this time Boenisch fires wide after a corner is only half cleared.

8mins: Another chance for Poland, this time Robert Lewandowski is played through but fires his shot wide. Good chance for the Poles

6mins: Poland go close again with Obraniak firing just wide with a free-kick from the corner of the area, Cech was happy to let the ball fly wide.

5mins: In the other game, Greece, who have to win, seem to be taking the game to Russia.

3mins: Let off for Poland as the Czech Republic should have taken the lead through Vaclav Pilar who fluffed his shot when in front of goal. Chances at both ends

2mins: Chance for Poland, a free kick is played into the Czech area and Dudka has an over head kick which goes just wide of Petr Cech's goal

7.00pm: Good evening and welcome to live coverage of tonight's final games in Group A.

The task is simple for hosts Poland, win against Czech Republic and they are through, anything else and they are out.

Russia need just a point against Greece to make the quarter finals where as the the 2004 winners know anything other than a win will see them heading home.
