Life's just peachy for Jennifer Lopez as she jets from American Idol set to Puerto Rico with doting husband Marc Anthony

Jennifer Lopez made a quick journey from the American Idol set to Puerto Rico last night with her husband Marc Anthony.

The couple, who both have roots in the U.S. island, today participated in a ceremony marking the signing of a film-making incentive legislation to support the commonwealth's film industry.

Jennifer, 41, wore a simple coral silk jersey dress by Elie Saab and matching shoes and had her hair up in a tight bun and wore diamond square earrings to finish off her look.

Her Latin singer husband looked dapper in a neutral coloured suit with a blue tie as they joined the governor of Puerto Rico in Bayamon.

Mark looked adoringly at his wife as she spoke during the event and the couple laughed and smiled with the crowd who came out to see them.

The singer said last night American Idol show where the final 13 were chosen was a nerve-wracking experience for her.

'Honestly, I was more nervous watching them perform than I am when I perform myself', Jennifer shared. 'I was shaking. It was crazy!'

'They're all so talented, they're all doing so great. It's amazing how they come through when they need to'.

But ultimately she said America chose the right contestants to continue on in the journey to be crowned the winner in the musical reality series.

'I felt like America really did a great job with that. There's like 10 other, if you put them in there, that's fine too. That's how good they all were', Jennifer said.

Although Jennifer is enjoying being on the show she said that her twins Max and Emme were not among the millions of fans of the show.

She told E! News: 'They don't sit still long enough to watch [the show]. The only thing they sit still for is The Chipmunks - she's like "Mommy, you be Theodore". OK, I'll be Theodore'.
