Rachel Zoe takes the plunge in daring cleavage baring gown at New York launch of her second book
It was her book launch and Rachel Zoe made sure she was the centre of attention in New York on Monday night.
The 42-year-old stylist-turned-designer attended the unveiling of her new tome, Living In Style: Inspiration and Advice for Everyday Glamour, at Tiffany & Co. looking suitably stylish in a dramatic black evening gown.
The ruffled layered skirt featured a flattering pelmet design, and her modesty on the slashed to the waist bodice was protected by a layer of lace.
Centre of attention: Rachel Zoe's plunging black gown ensured all eyes were on her at the launch of her new book Living In Style in New York on Monday
New mother Rachel - who welcomed her second son Kaius in December - showed she is back to her slim pre-baby figure in the black dress.
The star - who also has son Skyler, three, with husband Rodger Berman - was joined by a host of famous friends including Olivia Palermo and fiance Johannes Huebl, Lindsay Ellingson, Anna Sophia Robb, Karen Craig and Georgina Chapman of Marchesa and Karen Elson for her big night.
'All alone wearing Valentino' Zoe shared this stunning shot

Stylish couple: Olivia Palermo and her fiance Johannes Huebl showed their support for Rachel at the book launch on Monday
Trendsetters: Both Georgina Chapman, designer and wife of movie mogul Harvey Weinstein and The City star Palermo, were dressed to impress
Rachel has described her new book as being 'filled with never-before-seen personal photos, images of my fashion and beauty icons and contributions from my inspirational friends and mentors on home decor, entertaining and travel.'
Rachel recently told You magazine that the book is 'aspirational and inspriational'.
She said: 'I hope it’s aspirational as well as inspirational,. I truly believe that living a life filled with glamour and style has nothing to do with having money or fame.
Style star: Anna Sophia Robb (aka the young Carrie Bradshaw) looked demure in a white shift dress and black sandals
No competition here: Marchesa designers Karen Craig and Georgina Chapman showed their support for fellow designer Zoe at the launch
Model behaviour: Models Karen Elson and Lindsay Ellingson joined the well-heeled group at the launch party in New York
'The people I know with the greatest
taste often have the most limited budgets, and I wanted to help people
change their perspective a little bit.
'I
was pleased with my first book [Style A to Zoe], but I feel that this
new book addresses life and style as opposed to just getting dressed
every day. I feel I’ve really grown up since then.'
It
was co-authored with fashion journalist Monica Corcoran Harel, who has
also contributed to Mad Men costume designer Janie Bryant's book.
Living in Style will hit stores March 25.

I've looked at the pictures a few times now and I still can't see this 'cleavage' of which you speak.
