Millwall boss Jackett is hoping he can finally to rest his Wembley ghosts

Kenny Jackett is being haunted by past play-off final heartbreak ahead of his Millwall side's match on Sunday. The London side - who will be backed by at least 43,000 fans - will face Scunthorpe in the League One final.

The Millwall manager endured defeat in the 2006 League One final, when his Swansea side lost to Barnsley on penalties. And the memories of that game are fresh in Jackett's memory.

He said: 'It was a game that we dominated. The final's a horrible place to lose. It was a tough feeling. The next season, it was hard to pick people up. We've been practising penalties in training.'

Ready for Wembley: Millwall's Kenny Jackett

Jackett's squad visited Wembley on Tuesday to acquaint themselves with the surroundings.

'We worked out where everyone's mum will be sitting,' he joked. 'All the peripheral things have to be sorted beforehand. On the day, you want to be fully focused on the game.'

Assessing their final opponents, Jackett added: 'We've lost to Scunthorpe twice this season although we've finished above them in the league so it's evenly poised. Both games were close, by the odd goal. Both were attack-minded games.

'This season, I felt that - if we got the basics right - promotion was a possibility. The beauty of this division is that two-thirds of the division can set out to achieve promotion and realistically do it.'
