Keep your enemies close: George Clooney shares a laugh with his on-screen captor Jack O'Connell on Money Monster set
They play a hostage and his captor in their new movie Money Monster, but on Friday George Clooney and Jack O'Connell looked like best buddies as they joked around on set.
The 53-year-old US actor and up and coming Brit star were shooting scenes for their action-packed thriller in the heart of New York's financial district.
While George was strapped into a suicide vest and Jack brandished a gun, in between takes the two shared some laughs despite the tense premise of their new film.

George was in costume wearing a grey vest packed with C4 plastic explosives.
The seasoned star wore a blue-and-white striped shirt with the sleeves rolled up and some dark grey slacks under his terrifying looking vest,
Jack, 24, was kitted out in a khaki, zipped hoodie over a grey sweatshirt and green combat trousers, with a gun in his hand.
What tension? George looked relaxed and smiley in between takes despite the tense premise of his new film

In Money Monster George plays Lee Gates, a financial TV personality who has been taken hostage and strapped into a suicide vest by disgruntled viewer Kyle Budwell (O'Connell) after he loses all his money on one of Lee's tips.
Unless the financial guru can figure out a way to drive the stock market up before the closing bell, Kyle will detonate the bomb.
Directed by Jodie Foster, Money Monster also stars George's Oceans Twelve co-star Julia Roberts who plays a Financial News Network reporter with her camera crew outside the studio.

Jack is once again among illustrious company in his new film, having bagged the lead in the Angelina Jolie-directed Unbroken in 2014.
Playing the role of Olympian turned prisoner of war Louis Zamperini has led to the former Skins star scoring a string of other major Hollywood roles.
He recently completed work on Tulip Fever, which has been adapted from Deborah Moggach's celebrated book by Sir Tom Stoppard.
Jack moved swiftly from shooting the 17th Century Amsterdam-set drama to the action-packed Money Monster, which he's been filming in New York for the past few weeks.

Earlier on Friday, Jack and George were in character with Clooney looking raging mad as he rehearsed a scene on Wall Street.
George rehearsed his rage face, clenching his fists and snarling, as Jack and a member of the crew looked on before snapping back to his usual smiley self.
The actors appeared to be continuing a scene they started on April 11.
Filming got underway in New York City at the end of February, with a release date scheduled for some time in 2016
