Holby City star Tina Hobley shows off her baby son Orson

A thrilled Tina Hobley has proudly showed off her newborn son Orson for the first time.

The Holby City actress, 38, brought the one-month-old on a shopping trip in London with some relatives.

Wearing a pair of skinny black jeans, it looks like Hobley had already lost her baby weight.

Hobley gave birth to her third child Orson - her second with current husband Oliver Wheeler - on April 1.

Speaking of Orson's birth, she said: 'It's what we dreamed of; three's a perfect number.'

The couple also have a daughter Olivia, who turns two next month, while Hobley is mum to 10-year-old Isabella, from her first marriage to graphic designer Steve Wallington.

Hobley's third birth happened to coincide around the same time as her Holby City character Chrissie Williams gives birth on the hospital drama.

In scenes filmed before Orson's arrival, nurse Chrissie has a baby son by Caesarean after falling ill in episodes to be screened next month.

Her character Chrissie finally welcomes a baby boy in a forthcoming episode.

Last year, her character miscarried and also was left devastated in 2003, when her baby daughter died in arms moments after birth after being left with brain damage.

While she returned to work just nine weeks after Olivia was born, Tina has vowed not to make the same mistake again.

'It was too early. Your body isn't recovered and your hormones are all over the place. I didn't want to leave Olivia. But work were very understanding. They built another break into the storyline and I had another three months off.'

When she does return to the set, she has full support from husband Oliver, 39, who runs a PR firm.

Wheeler said: ''Part of her DNA is hard-working mum.'
