Thiago Silva wraps training top around PSG mascot in heartwarming moment ahead of top of the table Ligue 1 clash with Lyon

Thiago Silva showed his soft side before Paris Saint-Germain played Lyon on Sunday in a heartwarming moment in which he gives a chilly mascot his training top.

The Brazilian lead his team out alongside a young boy in the Stade de Gerland on a cold night in Lyon for the top of the table clash with Ligue 1 leaders Lyon.

The boy can be seen shivering as he walks out of the tunnel with the PSG captain, who gives him a heartfelt rub to try and warm him up.

Before leading his PSG teammates for the pre-match handshakes, Silva stopped to take off his training top and rap it round the little boy to help him keep warm.

For all Silva's kindness before the match, Lyon took the lead after half an hour before PSG salvaged a point through a Zlatan Ibrahimovic spot kick in the second half.

Laurent Blanc's side remain just two points behind leaders Lyon and level on points and goal difference with Marseille as they get into the second half of the season.
