Christopher Shirley (above), 20, admitted to getting high on synthetic pot before driving to Walmart on Thursday in Houston, Texas, where he made it to the store’s parking lot before passing out.
While he might have been stoned, Shirley somehow managed to make it to his local Walmart's parking lot safely before falling asleep.
Staff were initially concerned for his welfare and then they noticed his truck was reversing while he was still asleep at the wheel, and notified police.
The pick-up truck finally came to rest after crashing into the rear of another parked vehicle, according to Click2Houston.
Following the incident at Walmart (above file photo), Shirley faces a charge of driving while intoxicated and is being held at Montgomery County Jail
When police arrived at the scene, Shirley was unable to even to state where he was born.
Deputy Jim Slack said: ‘He’d wake up, kind of look around and then nod off again totally out of it.
‘I thought, man, this guy is really high on something.’
Shirley also had difficulty walking, he was slurring his speech and was squinting according to police. He also failed a sobriety test.
Shirley is currently being held at Montgomery County Jail.
