Lame and Old! Owen Wilson and Ben Stiller label themselves as they wear safety cone coloured jumpsuits to film Zoolander 2

They left the audience in awe as they announced their sequel while walking in the Valentino fashion show last month.

Now, Ben Stiller, 49, and Owen Wilson, 46, are officially back in action and up to their signature shameless shenanigans as they film Zoolander 2 in Rome, Italy.

The two were spotted with silly 'hello my name is' tags on set on Friday, with Owen's labeled 'lame,' as Ben's boasted 'old.'

The pair were not to be missed, sporting vivid safety orange hooded jumpsuits and flashy silver knee-high boots - with matching metallic gloves to boot.

Owen and Ben appeared to be acting on a runway, with a scantily clad woman also in the mix.

The brunette was wearing extremely high caged heels that cut off just below her pert derriere.

Her torso was also enveloped with wiring, as a light fixture ran down her spine and a gas mask covered her face.

The female was also carrying a fire extinguisher.

Olivia Munn, Lewis Hamilton, and Franca Sozzani were among celebrities spotted in what seemed to be the front row of the show.

The same day, Ben Stilller announced that actor Kyle Mooney, 30, would be joining the star-studded cast.

'So this guy @kylemooney is going to be in #Zoolander2. Cool. I guess he's supposed to be really funny or something. Evs,' he wrote with an Instagram snap of himself showing off his 'Blue Steel' pose, as Kyle stood behind, tilting his chip upwards.

Director and star Ben Stiller has signed up some incredible cameos for the sequel to his 2001 comedy.

While the original movie featured appearances from the likes of Donald Trump, Christian Slater, Tom Ford, Tommy Hilfiger, Heidi Klum and Natalie Portman, Ben is rumoured to have persuaded big names in both Hollywood and fashion to join the second film.

Will Ferrell is said to be back as his character Mugato, and Ben's wife Christine Taylor is reprising her role as Matilda.

Kristen Wiig has been spotted shooting scenes in Rome, while Cyrus Arnold is joining the cast as Zoolander's son.

Jonah Hill, Kanye West, Kim Kardashian, Cara Delevingne, Naomi Campbell, and Anna Wintour are all rumored to be making an appearance too - as well as Fred Armisen, Billy Zane, and Benedict Cumberbatch.

Already accustomed with the Italian fashion houses, Ben and Owen channeled their famous alter-egos as they announced the return of Zoolander during the Valentino AW14 show at Paris Fashion Week in March.

When the characters return to the modelling world, their business is threatened by an opposing company.

Ben will perform both male lead and directing duties on the film penned by Jennifer Aniston's actor fiancé Justin Theroux.

The fashion parody sequel, slated for release in 2016, started filming two weeks ago and comes 15 years after the first film.
