About
The European Union Association promotes a better understanding of EU priorities and policies at the United Nations and among international EU partner countries.
The EU Association works in cooperation with the EU Delegation to the United Nations, EU Delegations to the United States and around the world as well as EU member states representative offices , EU partners around the world, and the members of the UN Family of Nations within the UN General Assembly and Security Council.
Since 1996 the European Union Association has been dedicated to increasing awareness of EU policies and priorities among major international EU partners among cultural and decision making circles as well as representatives members and institutions of the United Nations family.

Giuseppe Sergi
Giuseppe has worked in the financial serices industry at ABN-AMRO in New York and holds degrees in Management, International Business and Information Systems at New York University, he has also studied German and French in Munich Germany and Paris France, he is presently founding president and public relations coordinator for the European Union Association.
Pete Chatziplis
Pete Chatziplis, a Greek EU Citizen, has been cooperating with the European Union Association since 2006 focusing in the areas of finance, business and economics. He has over 10 years of diversified experience in advising large multinational corporations in mergers & acquisitions, financial and strategic consulting, business development and capital raising, working for Deloitte & Touche in Europe and the US. Pete holds an MBA from Manchester Business School UK/Kelley Business School Indiana University and a Bsc/Msc from the National Technical University of Athens Greece. He is a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (IFRS), a Chartered Financial Analyst and a Certified Corporate Finance Advisor from theInstitute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales. He has given presentations and written articles on topics related to Mergers & Acquisitions.
Dina Ciarmatori
Dina Ciarmatori has played an active role with the EU Association as a marketing director since 2006 as with a focus on international development and the MDGs, women’s rights, social enterprise and economics. She has over five years experience in the area of transatlantic relations and collaborating with various stakeholders in the US and EU. She currently resides in New York and Rome and holds a Masters in European Politics from the University of Bath, UK

Raffaele Pelliccia
Raffaele Pelliccia has been cooperating with the EU Association since 2007 across various fields such as economics, finance and membership services. He has over 3 years of experience in the treasury and financial sector working for LVMH, CNR and Fiat Finance & Trade. Raffaele holds an MBA from Kelley School of Business Indiana University/Stern University and an Msc from Bocconi University in Milan. He has also collaborated with the Ministry of Research and Universities in Rome to develop methodologies for financial restructuring and value creation. The research was published in the “International Journal of Business Process Integrationand Management”. Raffaele is currently based in Luxemburg and is responsible for the European office of the European Union Association .

Akeel Haider
Akeel is our digital strategist and advisor for Middle Eastern Affairs.
Akeel has extensive digital media experience and a deep understanding of Middle Eastern Geopolitical Affairs. Akeel has been an active member of the EU Association since 2007 and has helped organize events related to the Middle East and the Mediterranean area to raise awareness about various humanitarian and civil society timely issues.

Mirela Balog
Mirela Joined the EU Association team in 2012. Mirela studied law at Novi Sad University.
She is an ardent supporter of Serbian membership of the European Union and covers Human Rights and Public Relations in the EU Association core team.

Roy has been actively supporting promotional and informative events related to the European Union and global partners since the early nineties. He’s a public relations and events coordinator reference point in the European Union Association team.

He holds special interest in UN principles and priorities.
