Declan who? Ant McPartlin and wife Lisa Armstrong make an adorable double act as they enjoy rare night out at BAFTA Craft Awards

When it comes to double acts, Ant McPartlin always knows to stand on the left.

And the same came for an adorable family picture with Lisa Armstrong on Sunday when the television presenter ditched his faithful friend Declan Donnelly for a rare night out with his gorgeous wife.

Proud husband Ant, 39, beamed on the arm of his pretty partner Lisa, 38, who was nominated for a BAFTA Television Craft Award at the ceremony in London at the weekend.

It was a role reversal for the pair as he supported her with her accolade, after she's spent 20 years cheering him on as part of his famous comedy duo Ant & Dec.

Ant gushed on the double act's official Twitter page, saying: 'Big congrats to my missus @lisaAmakeup on her #baftacraftawards nomination. No win but so proud anyhoo! A'

Lisa is the Chief Make-up Artist on BBC One's Strictly Come Dancing and has also recently contributed to Ant's famous presenting gig Britain's Got Talent over on ITV.

The handsome couple, though married for eight years and together for 20, are scarcely seen at a showbiz bash as a couple.

Lisa and Ant met while on the Smash Hits tour in 1994, when she was a member of pop band Deuce he was one half of PJ & Duncan.

They still looked especially loved up as they posed side-by-side inside small venue The Brewery at the weekend.

Lisa dazzled with bronze make-up and gold heels to set off her floaty cream evening dress, picked perfectly for London's balmy weather.

She put her slender legs on display, while tying her hair into a classy up-do to keep the detail of her dress exposed.

Ant, with a cheesy grin and an arm around his wife, looked especially pleased to be seen with his long-term partner as he enjoyed a night off from work commitments.

The couple are soon to see Ant's other long-term partner Declan walk down the aisle after the 39-year-old proposed to girlfriend Ali Astall last November.

Dec, who was absent from the star-studded event on Sunday, plans to wed the stunning blonde next year in a summer do.

Sunday night's annual BAFTA Television Craft Awards saw talent from behind-the-scenes honoured with a special ceremony.

After receiving nominations in the Entertainment programme and Entertainment performance at this year's BAFTA TV Awards, Ant & Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway also received a nomination at the Craft Awards.

The Craft Awards recognises skills across 20 different categories including directorial contributions, editing, make-up and hair design as well as music.

The theme for the evening appeared to have been black when the television industry's leading ladies lead the glamour in elegant LBDs.

From DJ Edith Bowman in a gothic ensemble to youthful actress Tina Hobley in a cut out mini dress, the glamorous attendees appeared to favour one formal shade.

Though that wasn't the case for vibrant Smack The Pony comedienne Doon Mackichan, nor the gorgeous Amy Beth Hayes, who bore capitalised on the springy weather and injected some colour into the ceremony.
