'She'll add real sex appeal': Teen Mom star Farrah Abraham has 'signed to appear in next series of Celebrity Big Brother'

She's courted controversy in the US since appearing on the 2009 series of 16 and Pregnant and its spin-off show Teen Mom.

And Farrah Abraham now looks set to cause havoc in the UK when she reportedly makes an appearance on the upcoming series of Celebrity Big Brother.

The 23-year-old reality star, who is no stranger to showing off her figure in skimpy shoots, has reportedly been signed up by Channel 5 bosses in a bid to boost the long-running show's sex appeal.

A source told The Sun On Sunday said: 'Bosses want the show to be more X-rated. She'll add real sex appeal.'

Farrah - who raises five-year-old Sophia alone after her daughter's father died in a car crash before she was born - saw her profile skyrocket after her stint on the MTV series, which followed the day-to-day lives of struggling teen mothers.

The plastic surgery-loving brunette caused an outrage when she appeared in an X-rated film entitled Farrah Superstar: Backdoor Teen Mom alongside porn star James Deen, as well as an equally erotic sequel.

When MTV was plotting a comeback for Teen Mom, Farrah's former co-star Amber Portwood, Catelynn Lowell and Maci Bookout kicked up a fuss, saying Farrah was a bad role model, but later relented.

Farrah has also branched out into music, releasing an album, My Teenage Dream Ended, in 2012 and making a comeback with uptempo single Blowin last month.

Another name linked to the next series of CBB is TOWIE favourite Gemma Collins.

Despite only lasting three days in the jungle when she signed up for I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!, the plus-sized clothing designer is keen to give reality TV another go in a bid to show people the real Gemma.

'This time round everything is different', an insider told the Sunday Mirror. 'She’s happy and feels ready to get stuck into CBB. She wants the public to see the real her.’

A representative for Gemma told MailOnline: 'Gemma has been presented with various opportunities since leaving the jungle but she has not committed to any projects or shows at present.'

MailOnline also contacted a spokesperson for CBB, who declined to comment, as well as Farrah.
