She teamed the piece with a pair of baggy cropped jeans and shunned her favoured heels for black patent trainers which had a velcro strap.

Carrying her sunglasses on her top, the artist was also sporting her favourite red lipstick and wore her famous platinum locks in a funky up do.

Her eldest, Kingston, wore what appeared to be a football strip and had his hair slicked back for the exciting occasion.

Gwen brought her high-energy brand of pop music to the American capital last week, when she reunited with No Doubt to perform at the Global Citizen event for Earth Day.

The singer was just one of several big-name performers brought in to help focus attention on environmental and poverty issues around the world.

In addition to No Doubt, musical acts included Usher, Coldplay, Fall Out Boy, Mary J Blige, Train, and My Morning Jacket.

The man in question, Richard Portnoy, had made unwanted visits to Gwen's home, her parents' house, and her acupuncturists' office.
