They've been conducting a long-distance romance for over a year but Liv Tyler and Dave Gardner are making the most of any time they spend together.

Liv, 37, jetted in from New York last week to see her rumoured fiance, and father of her baby Sailor, and the couple couldn't be happier.

On Sunday, they took Dave's seven-year-old son Gray for a walk in the woods and proud Dave took to Instagram to share the moment.

His snap shows the trio holding hands as they pose in the midst of picturesque bluebells and he captioned it: 'Blue Bell Woods !!!! Beautiful weekend @misslivalittle x'

Gray - whose mother is Dave's ex wife Davinia Taylor - looked delighted to be spending time with Liv.

There was no sign of baby Sailor or Liv's 10-year-old son Milo, whose father is her former husband Royston Langdon.

A few days before the sweet snap of them in the woods, Dave shared a picture of him and Liv in bed with the caption 'Night Night.....I love you @misslivalittle x.'

The pair have been keeping busy, enjoying a date night at the ballet, before hitting Marylebone hotspot, The Chiltern Firehouse in London on Thursday.

Liv and Dave were just two of a host of celebrity guests in attendance at the opening night of Audi presents La Fille Mal Gardee at The Royal Opera House on Thursday.

The actress, who gave birth to their son Sailor in February, covered up her figure in a loose-fitting white maxi dress, which she teamed with a black blazer.

On her left hand was the rumoured engagement ring she has been wearing since January, although the pair are yet to confirm if they are planning to wed.

Also in attendance at the ballet were Jeremy Piven, Gemma Arterton, Colin Firth, Dominic Cooper, Anna Friel, Will Young and Jamie and Louise Redknapp.

Liv and London-based Dave started dating in early 2014 after apparently being introduced by mutual friend Kate Moss.

However, their romance only became public knowledge last summer, with Liv's pregnancy being revealed soon after.

Although the pair spend a lot of time together, their respective elder sons' schooling in the UK and US meant they aren't always able to live together full-time.
