He kicked off the Australian leg of his tour in Brisbane on Saturday night.

And a day later, Sam Smith cut quite the content and refreshed figure as he stepped out to enjoy some sightseeing with a group of companions on the Sydney Habour.

Dressed down in a padded khaki jacket and tight black jeans, the 22-year-old singer continued to show off his recent dramatic weight loss.

He teamed his low-key attire with a black and red striped sweater, while strolling along the streets in comfortable grey pumps. 

The British star appeared to be in great spirits as he kicked back with his group, taking to his social media sites to share a series of snaps.

‘Family on a boat,’ he captioned one image.

Smith recently took home four Grammy awards, including Best New Artist and Song of the Year for his hit single Stay With Me.

He also received Best Pop Vocal Album for In The Lonely Hour, which has sold more than 3.5 million copies worldwide.

‘I know this album is a sad record, but for me, In The Lonely Hour was a massive breakthrough in my life,’ he said. ‘People only properly started listening to my record when I started being myself.’

The songwriter followed this open confession with I Told You Now, which he described as the first honest song he had ever written.

Smith has credited his new-found confidence to a recent lifestyle change, involving a strict regime of clean eating and exercise.
