After leaving her teenage years behind and turning 20 on Thursday, Gigi Hadid jumped into full party mode as she celebrated the occasion with a lavish meal in New York City on Sunday.

The stunning supermodel was joined by such pals as Kendall Jenner for a celebratory dinner at popular Manhattan eatery Red Stixs, where she arrived in style in a monochrome ensemble.

And she enjoyed quite the sweet treat when she was presented with a decadent cake covered with strawberries, cherries and blueberries and topped with a large sparkler.

Gigi looked every inch the birthday girl as she arrived at the gathering in a stylish black coat over a white top with black leggings and striking monochrome heels.

The star, who was fresh from a modelling gig in Miami, worked right up until her dinner kicked off, posing for a Maybelline campaign on the streets of the Big Apple.

She rocked an edgy leather jacket with sleek matching trousers that highlighted her long legs to perfection, adding some contrast with a pair of glossy bubble-gum pink pumps.

We are family: Earlier in the day, Gigi's sister, Bella, took to Twitter to share an image of them as young girls

As Gigi counted down the hours to her big bash, her younger sister Bella, who is also a model, shared a black-and-white image of the two of them as children at her birthday bash.

She captioned the picture: 'I wish I posted this on your birthday. @GiGiHadid can't wait to celebrate.'

Gigi's close pal Kendall was also seen at the bash, also arriving in a monochrome-themed outfit.

Meanwhile, a day earlier Kendall took to Instagram to share a heartwarming image that paid tribute to her father Bruce - who revealed on Friday to Diane Sawyer in a 20/20 interview that he identifies as a female.

The E! fixture posted an image of a fill-in-the-blank worksheet from her early school years in which she wrote at the time: 'If I could be anybody in the world, I would be my dad.'

She added the caption: 'I wrote this in 5th grade... nothing has changed.'
