Demi Lovato dedicates song to Bruce Jenner during world tour as she shares sexy Instagram snap

Demi Lovato dedicated her empowering song Warrior to Bruce Jenner during her performance in Auckland, New Zealand on Sunday.

The 22-year-old referred to the 65-year-old Olympian as a 'hero' after he revealed he identifies as a woman during his heartfelt interview with Diane Sawyer on Friday.

'I just want to dedicate this song…It's so cheesy that I'm even doing this, but f**k it, whatever. I want to dedicate it to someone who became an even bigger hero last night: Bruce Jenner!' Demi proclaimed the same day she shared a sexy Instagram snap from backstage.

Demi has been busy trotting the globe for her Demi World Tour, which first kicked off on September 6, 2014 in Baltimore.

And on Sunday Demi didn't shy away from singing her praises for Bruce, which was captured on a Youtube video.

'By the way, never ever thought I'd dedicate a song to him but he was honest and he was open with his story.

'No matter if you agree with it or not, he probably saved so many lives and educated so many people [about] transitioning into becoming a woman and being transgender and what that's all about. So, yeah, I just want to dedicate it to Bruce Jenner.'

On Friday Bruce tearfully told Diane in front of millions of viewers: 'For all intents and purposes, I am a woman.'

'My brain is much more female than it is male. That's what my soul is. Bruce lives a lie. She is not a lie.' He firmly added: 'I can't do it anymore.'

During the interview, Bruce also admitted that he has been regularly taking female hormones - and plans to completely transform into a woman.

In the interview, Bruce said he self-identifies as 'her,' not a specific name.

But he told Diane he felt comfortable using the pronouns 'he' and 'him,' a designation that is an important issue for many in the transgender community, which believes that transgender people should be referred to by the pronouns with which they choose to identify.
