Sister duo to represent Army and IAF on Republic Day

This year’s Republic Day parade, apart from being special due to the presence of Barack Obama, will bring moments of joy and pride for two sisters.

The second generation officers are daughters of Colonel Gurpal Singh Daveta. Lieutenant Prabhjot is currently serving in the ASC of the Army while Flying Officer Ramnik is posted at the Air Force Station in Kanpur.

This is the first time that the Indian Armed Forces have fielded their exclusive women contingents in the Republic Day Parade.
