But whatever her secret is, the 52-year-old looked incredible when she stepped out on Friday afternoon sporting a flawless youthful glow.

Impressively, the Golden Globe-nominated actress wasn’t wearing the teeniest hint of makeup at the time as she strolled down the street in Brentwood, California.

Appearing to have not aged a single day since she was last on the world’s TV screens as Bree Van De Kamp in Desperate Housewives, it's little wonder why the red head seemed to be in such high spirits.

Dressed in a pair of three-quarter length leggings, which showed off her long toned legs, and a baggy grey hoodie, it looked as though Marcia was making her way to a local gym.

Since the finale of Desperate Housewives was aired on ABC back in 2012, Marcia has kept a relatively low-profile.

However, that may not come as a secret to some fans as the star, who is mother to seven-year-old twins Eden and Savannah, hinted that she was exhausted shortly before the show ended.

'I've been working so hard for the past eight years and I'm tired - although I'm also deliciously tired because of what a wonderful life I've lived.' she explained to Digital Spy.

'Now, I'm looking forward to having a rest and being able to give to those I haven't been able to see.'

After a lengthy two- year break, Marcia is reportedly ready to get back into acting and is rumoured to be starring in Fox's TV pilot Fatrick, which is set to be aired later this year.

Fatrick revolves around a 30-something man named Patrick who 'is forced to face the damage caused by years of being "Fatrick," a chubby little child trying to survive,' according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Marcia's reported to play Arlene, Patrick's mother, starring in both the present and past segments of the comedy.

The role would be the actress' first since the conclusion of Housewives, but no recent updates have been made on the status of the project.
