Jessica Alba seeks Haven with Honor: Actress spends some time away from her newborn baby with her eldest child

She recently gave birth to a new baby daughter named Haven.

But Jessica Alba took time away from looking after her newborn girl to hang out with her elder daughter Honor yesterday.

The actress, 30, went out for a girly lunch with her 3-year-old to Starbucks in Santa Monica.

Jessica went for an all-brown theme with her outfit - wearing a patterned summer dress with wedge heels and matching handbag and sunglasses.

Meanwhile she'd dressed Honor in a cute black vest tops, denim shorts and a pair of Nike trainers that matched the pink and black colours on her top.

The two sat down at a table together and perhaps discussed what they would get up to next or maybe how Honor feels about her new sibling.

Jessica has settled into life as a mother-of-two smoothly, taking both daughters to the park recently and managing both with ease.

She has also retained her fantastic figure, albeit with a slightly larger proportioned chest.

And it seems that her great look could be down to her getting back into her fitness regime within weeks of giving birth.

Last month the actress was offering fitness advice for other new mothers on Twitter saying: 'I did my first day of workout since I had the baby, just cardio for 40 mins -it's a start. Anyone else starting a fitness regimen?'

And she was soon swamped with responses and ended up performing as a celebrity exercise agony aunt.

Jessica explained her workout consisted of exercise bike and elliptical machine, and suggested new mothers do a mix of interval training,  circuit training with light weights, and plyometrics.

And when one fan thanked her for motivating her to work off her own baby weight she replied: 'awesome let's do it together. I could use the motivation as well.'

Speaking about her new daughter's name, Jessica explained: 'When I delivered Haven she was born still inside the amniotic sac, which is rare.

'When I was in recovery we still hadn't chosen her name. Cash picked her up and said she came into the world in her 'safe haven' and it clicked right then for both of us...The doctor had never seen anything like it before.

'He grabbed the nurse and said: 'Look at this!' I was in the middle of pushing and he told me to hold on a minute and not to push!

'He was wearing basketball shorts and a T-shirt and said: 'Oh I have to get my scrubs on for this!' The sac burst on its own after she came out. It was a trip.'
