Leeds hoping to tie up loan deal for Stoke defender Dickinson

Leeds United are set to further bolster their defensive options by signing left-back Carl Dickinson on loan from Stoke City.

Simon Grayson swooped to bolster his back line by landing Leeds-born centre-back Richard Naylor from Ipswich yesterday and Potters ace Dickinson is poised to make a temporary switch as well in time for Saturday's trip to Brighton.

New arrival: Leeds are set to sign Stoke City defender Carl Dickinson.

Tough-tackling Dickinson, 21, has started two Premiership games for Stoke this term and been a sub in another.

Leeds are understood to have beaten off interest from Grayson's old club Blackpool - where Dickinson spent a loan spell in 2006-07 - and Championship strugglers Charlton to land the 6ft 1in ace.
