Biography: 

After completing his two master degrees (Master of Middle Eastern and Central Asian Studies/ Master of Diplomatic studies) at the Australian National University, Xiying has expended his research interests to the field of e-diplomacy. While conducting his research at the ANU, Xiying is also very active in interacting with News Media like ABC, SBS in Australia, Yunnan Satellite TV, Fujian TV in China, as well as being a political commentator.  Meanwhile, Xiying has published more than hundred opinion articles in Chinese newspapers, such as People’s Daily, Global Times, Singapore Lianhe Zaobao, South China Morning Post (Chinese), World Affairs etc.  As a vital young political commentator, Xiying has his own columns in South China Morning Post(Chinese), The China youth website (www.youth.cn) and China website (www.china.com.cn).  In addition, Xiying is a research fellow with the Charhar Institute (A Chinese Think Tank focusing on Public diplomacy) and the founder of the Australian Association of Chinese PhD students and Young Scholars.
