She announced her retirement from the catwalk after a 20 year illustrious career at the start of the month - and supermodel Gisele attended a party in her honour on Tuesday evening.

The 34-year-old looked incredible at a party promoted by Chanel and Vogue Brazil, after walking her final show during Sao Paulo Fashion Week a couple of weeks ago.

The outing followed a recent photoshoot for the May spread of Vogue Brasil on Tuesday, two days before the issue hits newsstands, in which she posed topless.

She might have officially retired from the runway, but something tells us we haven't seen the last of Gisele Bundchen yet. She's still around to offer us some style inspiration!

An event promoted by Chanel and Vogue Brazil in honor of her 20 year catwalk career sounds like a party we want to be at, and Gisele got her outfit just right for occasion. She shimmered her way in wearing a gold sequinned midi skirt with a split up the side to show off her supermodel pins.

It's of course by Chanel and hails from the Fall 2015 collection. It's not the boucle texture you might associate with classic Chanel, nor is it as crazy as couture collections can sometimes be, but we love it. Bonus points to Gisele for keeping things simple by styling it with an understated black top and lace up heels rather than layering it with trousers as it was originally shown on the runway.

Gisele glittered at the party, wearing a golden sequin skirt which had a sexy thigh-split and showed off her bronzed legs from the front.

She lengthened her long legs even more with a pair of black strappy sandals which had ankle ties which ran of her lower legs.

Polishing off her look, she chose a slinky black vest top which she tucked into her dazzling skirt.

Clearly in the mood to party, the high-spirited stunner waved to photographers and threw out some dance moves as she exited the property.

Her caramel locks hung in loose curls which fell down past her shoulders, without so much as a hair out of place.

Posting an image from her recent Vogue shoot to her Instagram account recently, Gisele adding a message expressing her gratitude to everyone involved in the photo shoot.

While Gisele was celebrating 20 years of success in the fashion modelling business, Vogue Brasil was celebrating its 40th anniversary issue.

The supermodel - who earned $47 million last year, according to Forbes - said her body was telling her that now is the time to quit

'I am grateful that at 14, I was given the opportunity to start this journey. Today after 20 years in the industry, it is a privilege to be doing my last fashion show by choice and yet still be working in other facets of the business.

'Automatically my body tells me if what I do is worth it, and it asked to stop,' Gisele told Brazilian newspaper Folha de S. Paulo. 'I respect my body. It's a privilege to be able to stop.'

Gisele walked her last catwalk on April 15 in Brazil for Colcci during São Paulo Fashion Week in an emotional moment.
