'It's time to party!' Emma Bunton and Mel C jet to Marrakech to Spice up David Beckham's 40th birthday celebrations

A starry crowd has already gathered in Marrakech for David Beckham's 40th birthday celebrations.

But the party can really get started now Victoria's Spice Girl pals Emma Bunton and Mel C are on route.

The friends were spotted strutting through London's Gatwick airport on Saturday, ahead of David's big party at a luxury Moroccan resort tonight.

All the celebrities are turning up in their droves to celebrate David Beckham's 40th birthday. Does he not know that it's someone else's birthday too? He's going to have to share from now on with the newly arrived Princess, what an honor!

The new royal is a little young to party though, so David is going to have to do that for her for the both of them and he looks set to do it in style alongside a host of celebrity guests including some of the Spice Girls.

Emma Bunton packed a real punch while travelling to Marrakesh, rocking up in these statement tiger print trousers. The pair are by Moschino Cheap & Chic and you can nab a pair for yourself (right) at Farfetch.

Emma, 39, looked ready for a wild party, rocking some tiger stripe trousers for the short flight to Marrakech.

The bright yellow pair were teamed with a fitted leather jacket and simple black heels, with Emma wearing her glasses and leaving her blonde hair loose. 

41-year-old Mel was also rocking a casual chic look, keeping comfy in a grey jumpsuit, tied at the waist.

The singer's locks already looked party-ready with her long brunette tresses styled into loose curls.

Mel added some black ankle boots and a large tote bag while she kept her makeup simple with a slick of lip gloss and mascara.

The girls pulled their own luggage through the airport, with Mel dragging a particularly huge case behind her.

Clearly impatient to get to their luxury destination, Emma posted an excited selfie on her Twitter page, captioning the pic: 'It's time to Paaarty!!!'

The Spice Girls are heading to Marrakech's Amanjena hotel, a super luxe five star resort where David and Victoria renewed their vows in 2004.

The birthday boy, who turned the big 4-0 today, and Victoria touched down in the Moroccan capital on Friday evening, ahead of a weekend long celebration with a host of celebrity friends.

Close pals Gordon Ramsay and wife Tana have already jetted in, as has David's best friend Dave Gardner and his girlfriend Liv Tyler.

Victoria's friend Eva Longoria was also spotted touching down in Marrakech on Saturday.

So far David's celebrations have been pretty low key, with the star kicking off his big day by making his debut on Instagram.

Pictured in bed and with one of his trademark sleeve tattoos on full display, Beckham is at his brooding best as he gazes into the camera lens.
